Escalante is located in the heart of the Grand Staircase.  Restaurants, motels, inns, grocery store, medical clinic, fire station, search and rescue, gas stations, gallery and giftware is all available.  Remember, a large number of the businesses are closed on Sunday, including the grocery store and Subway.  Plan for your Sunday trip on Saturday and feel free to check with the folks at Gallery Escalante - they are open daily 9-5.
